What’s In Store for Poor Little Dior?

So what’s next for this mega fashion house?  More importantly, WHO is next?  If the Oscar anticipation kept you holed up all weekend then you haven’t heard about John Galliano’s less than savory comments.  After what we can only assume was a long night of wining (whining?) and dining, Mr. Dior himself had a few choice anti-Semitic words.  Needless to say, he was given the well-heeled boot from his position as lead designer yesterday.  So, who is next?  Tongues are wagging with theories and fantasies of who will take over.  Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci seems like a smooth transition as it and Dior are owned by parent company LVMH Moet Hennesy.  But with skeptics wondering if Tisci has proved himself enough at Givenchy, Lanvin’s superstar Alber Elbaz appears to also stand the front of the pack.  Other potential heads include Nina Ricci’s Oliver Theyskens and YSL’s Stefano Pilati.  So the question for all you Dior addicts out there, who would you like to see at the helm?
